Frequently asked questions

Everything you might want to know about NexGen Automations — what we build, what it costs to start, where we work, and how we deliver.

About NexGen Automations

What does NexGen Automations do?

NexGen Automations builds both digital and physical automation under one roof: AI apps and voice agents, CRM and lead-generation systems, business websites and mobile apps, smart IoT monitoring, PLC and HMI control panels, AI predictive maintenance, and home and building automation. The same team writes the software and wires the hardware, so clients get one point of contact for the whole project.

Where is NexGen Automations located and who does it serve?

NexGen Automations is based in Vaughan, Ontario and serves businesses across Canada. Digital projects (AI apps, voice agents, CRM, websites, mobile apps) are delivered remotely nationwide; physical automation work is concentrated in Ontario and the Greater Toronto Area.

Who founded NexGen Automations?

NexGen Automations was founded by Shoaib Munir, who also founded Connections Engineering Services in 2009. He brings 15+ years of industrial automation experience — control panels, PLC systems, and a custom industrial PC product for Caterpillar gas generators — combined with self-taught software, AI, and mobile development.

What experience and track record does NexGen have?

15+ years of automation experience, 50+ projects delivered, and 10+ core technologies in active use. NexGen's AI voice agent is live in production at Humanity First Canada. Selected clients include Lucky Group, Allied Engineering, Orient Engineering, Navina Group, and Artistic Industries.

Services & pricing

What does NexGen build, and what does it cost to start?

Starting prices (CAD): AI Automation Apps from $1,500; CRM & Lead Management from $1,499; Smart IoT Monitoring from $1,500; PLC & HMI Control Panels from $2,500; AI Auto-Call & Voice Agents from $3,000; AI Predictive Maintenance from $3,500. Business websites, e-commerce, web apps, and mobile apps are also available. Every project is custom-quoted after a free consultation.

Does NexGen do both software and hardware on the same project?

Yes. That is the core of the business. Most software companies can't touch wires and most electricians can't write code — NexGen does both, so a single team can take a project from AI software through to the sensors, panels, and controls in your facility.

Can NexGen build a custom solution if my need isn't listed?

Yes. If you're not sure which service fits, NexGen will review the problem and design a custom plan combining hardware, software, or both — whatever the problem actually needs. Reach out at contact@nexgenautomations.ca.

Working together

How does the process work?

Three steps. 1) Tell us your problem — send a message describing what you're trying to solve. 2) We design your solution — a custom plan combining hardware, software, or both. 3) We build and deliver — a turnkey system, fully tested, with documentation, training, and ongoing support.

What technologies does NexGen work with?

Python, TensorFlow, Flutter, FastAPI, Docker, Kubernetes, Arduino, ESP32, Raspberry Pi, Nvidia Jetson, MQTT, JavaScript, PLC platforms (FATEK, KEYENCE, Allen Bradley), HMI, VFD, Modbus, and BACnet.

How do I get a quote or consultation?

Email contact@nexgenautomations.ca or use the contact form on the website. NexGen replies within 24 hours, and the initial consultation is free with no sales pressure.

Engineering & compliance

Does NexGen provide licensed professional engineering services?

NexGen Automations does not provide professional engineering services under Ontario's Professional Engineers Act. High-voltage electrical and gas work is performed by an appropriately licensed contractor engaged on a per-project basis. NexGen handles design, software, AI integration, PLC and HMI programming, and control hardware, and coordinates qualified Ontario partners where a project requires regulated trades.
